She grew up with dreams. She wanted to be everything she could.
At one point, she wanted to be a journalist after watching the news anchors.
She read 'Think Big' by Ben Carson and she thought she would be the renowned neurosurgeon until she realized she couldn't be mentioned on the same line with Biology.
She grew up knowing she would beat all the odds against her.
She wasn't defined by her lineage, her family mistakes, life experiences.
She had hope, faith, and could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
She saw herself as the Martin Luther of her generation.
The Oprah Winfrey to save women and defy all odds.
But life showed her it wasn't going to be easy as planned.
She experienced so many lows that at one point she began to question that maybe her dreams were just dreams.
She went to look for help from friends who were able to assist. But they dismissed her.
She went to friends of friends of friends who knew people. They were in a position to make a phone call but they needed a good time. She would have to buy the position with her body and definitely use it to maintain the job.
Why was life a struggle? Would she go to the grave rich with dreams? So she begun to withdraw from people, she kept to herself, she went with the flow but she stopped believing in herself.
Until one day she met him, in a gathering of multitudes. A stranger, meeting for the first time but she needed some clarity. After asking a million questions, he could only answer, 'I see greatness in you. I will be your destiny connector'
What was that? Would she need to sleep with him to be connected?
For the first time in ages, a stranger saw greatness in her. She knew she would finally fulfill her purpose and no it didn't come with an attachment to her body. For the first in a long time, what mattered most was what was between her head and heart and not between her legs.
The stranger pushed her to believe in herself all over again, reclaim her worth, and fulfill her purpose.
And as life would have it planned, along the way, she found more people to hold her hand, to walk with her, to show her the way but it started with the stranger who was willing to hold her hand, the destiny connector.
The so-called friends of friends and those who know people now found her worth yet before they rejected her and never wanted to assist and make the journey easier.
So I ask you today, whose hand are you holding? Whose hand should you be holding?
You know someone who needs your mentorship to be a better person but since they won't offer their bodies as living sacrifices, you will never have anything to do with them going to the next step.
You need to hold someone's hand but since both your great great great grandfathers fought he has no chance to blossom.
You can hold her/his hand by believing in their dreams.
Envy, jealousy, unhealthy competition won't make you hold another person's hand.
What if your purpose in life was to hold someone's hand to reach their destiny through a smile, a call, a word.
Someone held your hand to where you are, so whose hands are you holding?
A great piece to start a week. I think I know her

DeleteWhen we hold others hand unknowingly, just by what we do, the passion in what we do, how efficient in our prowess and finesse not knowing then our hand need to be held. You go home tired, looking forward for another day, unknowingly to hold others hands. Let not get tired in doing what we get tired off. Such an awesome piece to start of my week.

Thank you reader for the deeper insights.
