How To Grow

Growth is a choice. Growth is intentional. Growth is necessary to keep you functional in all spheres. Growth will push you out of your comfort zone. Until we learn this we will always have a feeling that probably something is wrong with us and we have to struggle. Until we learn growth is fundamental, complaining and pity-party will be your portion. You will never pick lessons from crises. You will stop at every barking dog and open doors that need to be shut. You will think that everyone is against you. 

How then do you grow? Learn lessons from every situation. Pause and reflect on your activities and general life. Some of you cannot learn and hence grow because you are busy running around. It is like there was a call for proposals for being busy. You move from one activity to another and wonder why you are frustrated. Can you just pause, breathe in and out, and notice patterns, You are competing to have a better version of yourself. 

Madam know it all, huh no one can tell you anything. You know the Ministers and who is who. You have read on the internet. Have you read everything? Have you watched all the YouTube channels? Have You listened to all podcasts? Some of you cannot grow because of your titles, fame, and wealth. Interact with other people. Every day, you can learn something that will contribute to your growth. 

 Mr. No I cannot charge this amount. I am still new in the field. There is no glory in poverty. You need to know your trade enough to understand that you have sacrificed time, resources, and space to be where you are. Package yourself to conquer the market places. Love yourself enough to know what works for you. Understand that not every presenting opportunity is yours. Some of you have been taking poison in the name of help and opportunities. You have to guard your space. 

Darling, I am glad that you got that degree, when you are presenting yourself, I can feel the pride in your introduction. I am a master's degree but just to let you know it was 10 years ago. I am still proud of you. But, things keep changing. Stop complaining that you are not getting opportunities. Are you learning new skills on top? Do you understand that facilitation has evolved and it is not about PowerPoint and slides anymore? There is so much to learn, and if you do not learn, you will stagnate. Even MCs cannot just stand in a ceremony and invite you to eat, and you wonder why you are only called in the village and not beyond. 

The world is moving and so should you. Until you push yourself out of your comfort zone and allow yourself to learn new skills, you will never grow. You will be frustrated. It is your life. You need to make the choice and have a strategy. Step by step, grow and increase your value.  Get out of your head and choose to grow and stop complaining.
