Just a late Bloomer, But Still Blooming

There are days you wake up and realize that you are not sometimes gives you more pressure of being unworthy, a  time taker and slow in progress and a time taker and slow in progress and a whole ton of esteem issues. On the flip side, you are not dead like some of your peers. The world has made us believe that at a certain age, we must have built an exquisite home, driven to have built an exquisite home, driven a Ferrari, and traveled to at least fifty countries. What they do not tell you is that our paths are totally different.

I am turning 34 this year, I have not built a house, and I only have a driving license and a picture of a car, but that is progress, right? By the standards of the world, I could probably be slow. Every year until last year, I felt pressure on my birthday. I would look at what I wanted to achieve versus what I had not. It was easy not to see the progress made while chasing the illusion of perfection. While this may not be the story of the entire population, some can relate.

You need to understand our paths are different, some will make it in their twenties, others in their thirties. However, that does not make you a lesser human being. When you know your lane and your purpose and walk in it, you understand the person you are in competition with is your weaker version. You will realize your path is unique and, your story fits in the puzzle just as you are.

You will bloom just doing it in your time, there is nothing wrong with it. Trust the process. Your journey is as beautiful as you are. Do not give in to the pressure of fitting in while you need to stand out. It takes a rosebud 2-3 weeks to bloom while it takes an orchid 2-3 months for an orchid to bloom. All beautiful but different timings.

Have you been called a time taker? Have you been kicked out of a group because you seemingly are not making it as your peers? Have you been cut off because they have a master's degree while you just have a diploma? Time and season happen to everyone. I am not saying that you stop working on yourself, by all means, do. I am not saying you give up on your dreams and purpose. Keep watering your garden. Keep becoming better at what you desire. Keep friends who will challenge you to become a better version of yourself without making you feel something is wrong with you. You are just a bloomer that takes their time eventually, you will bloom. Just like an orchid, you will bloom when the right time comes. Keep pruning, Keep watering. Nothing is wrong with you, your time is coming. We all do not start at the same plain field. We all start where we are with what we have, privileges or lack of it. But, Do not forget you will bloom. Stop trying to fit in where you do not belong. Stop trying to imitate a life that is not yours because that is trendy and you will look cool. Stop making decisions that deprive you of your joy because you think something is wrong with you. Stop getting into toxic relationships to acquire the Mrs. Somebody title as your peers. Stop living a lifestyle that is not yours.

I dare you to redefine your life for what you want and not what others think of you. I dare you to write it on paper and make a plan that you will achieve whether you are in your forties or twenties. Love will find you when it will. You can still get that degree at 40. You can still travel outside of the country in your thirties. It is okay that others traveled in their teens but remember that the race is not against each other but the race is towards living your fulfilled life. Things will finally align as they should but at no point should you think something is wrong with you.

  3. Going after your dreams can be a scary and daunting journey. It requires courage, determination, and a willingness to take risks and push beyond your comfort zone. But it's also one of the most rewarding and fulfilling journeys you can embark on.

It's important to remember that the road to achieving your dreams may not be a straight line. There will be setbacks, failures, and moments of doubt. But it's these moments that define us and shape our journey. It's in these moments that we learn, grow, and become stronger.

Surround yourself with positivity, with people who support and encourage you. Seek out mentors, coaches, or community groups who can guide you and help you stay accountable. And most importantly, believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your dreams.

Brilliant.Your article encourages me, Thank you for sharing.
